he's just a kid in a candy store
good & plenty's what he's living for
he likes 'em soft & sweet with a center full of cream
can't get enough to eat
yeah that's a treat to the extreme
well i can guess what you did with that kid
in the candy store
sweet young dandy got a real sweet tooth
handsome & dandy in the prime of his youth
he likes to fool around and he always tells the truth
that's whyi know what you did with that kid
in the candy store
he's not into now & later - too sticky
forget those old jawbreakers - way too tricky
gummi bears are just a little too cute
give him some sweet tarts, some red hots
and some squishy jujy fruit
well you can guess what they did with that kid
in the candy store
late last night he went into sugar shock
he took one bite and stuck it right back in the box
said he was in the mood for some food
a little more nutritious
girls all copped an attitude
cuz that dud is delicious
so now you know what we did with that kid
